Dr. Suzanne Lentzsch received her medical degree and PhD from Humboldt University Berlin, Germany where she also completed her internal medicine residency and her hematology/oncology fellowship. She is currently an associate professor of clinical medicine and director of Multiple Myeloma Service in the Department of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center, New York.

Dr. Lentzsch holds specialty certification in internal medicine and hematology/oncology. She is a frequent lecturer and regularly presents at annual meetings of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology, of which she is also a member. She has published numerous articles, editorials, and chapters in the Journal of Clinical Investigations, Blood, Cancer Research, and Leukemia, among others. Her clinical research interest includes studies for newly diagnosed and relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma, maintenance following transplant for multiple myeloma, and amyloidosis. Her translational laboratory research work provides understanding of the mechanism of action of thalidomide and IMiDs in multiple myeloma and bone disease.
