COMPLIMENTARY JOURNAL CE!

Multiple myeloma is the second most common hematological malignancy in the US. Due to the complex nature of the disease, the advent of new agents, and the myriad of treatment combinations and sequences, hematologist/oncologist practitioners have indicated the need for continuing education on the optimal management of their multiple myeloma patients. The primary areas of need identified were:

  • Treatment sequencing
  • The role of maintenance therapy
  • Managing side effects (ie, thrombosis, peripheral neuropathy, infections)
  • Guideline use
  • Transplantation (ie, role of transplantation, timing, pre-transplant therapy)
  • Defining high-risk patients
  • Relapsed and refractory disease
  • Treatment goals
  • New directions in therapy

To address these needs, four CE journal supplements on multiple myeloma were published between December 2009 and April 2010. Please click below to access links to the online version of these supplements.
