Program Overview
This live, interactive continuing education activity is designed to address the "real-world" challenges faced by clinicians who treat multiple myeloma through a multidisciplinary training approach. The faculty team comprises national and regional myeloma thought leaders. Using a grand rounds approach, the multidisciplinary team members, through case examples that mimic day-to-day practice, will address appropriate practices in multiple myeloma management. Participants will have the opportunity to design treatment strategies for each case prior to an in-depth evidence-based analysis by the experts. Participants will have the opportunity to ask patient-related questions in a peer-to-peer style forum.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:
- Select appropriate treatment sequencing approaches for individual multiple myeloma patients based on pre-existing comorbidities
- Design a comprehensive management plan tailored for myeloma-related complications such as renal impairment, bone complications, asthenia, and anemia
- Identify myeloma treatment-associated side effects
- Choose appropriate interventions to manage side effects of myeloma treatments such as gastrointestinal side effects, peripheral neuropathy, and VTE
Target Audience
This activity is designed for physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, and pharmacists who have an interest in enhancing their clinical skills in the management of multiple myeloma.
