Dr. Matthew Drake received his medical and doctorate degrees at Washington University in St. Louis. His clinical training in internal medicine was performed at Duke University Medical Center, and he completed his endocrinology fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Drake is an Associate Professor of Medicine and consultant in the Division of Endocrinology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He has a joint appointment in the Division of Hematology, where he sees patients with MGUS and myeloma related bone disease. Dr. Drake has received numerous awards, including the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) Young Investigator Award and the Mayo Clinic Department of Medicine New Investigator Award. He serves as an editor or on the editorial board for multiple bone-related journals. His research interests include understanding the etiology of cancer-associated bone loss.
